Great Stain Removal Ideas
If you have any of these stains or come across them, you may want to have these great stain busting remedies handy. They actually do work.
Grease on clothes...Dampen a clean cloth into a mix of ammonia & salt...blot, rub and rinse well.
Perspiration on clothes...Soak the garment in salt water then wash as usual. Or apply a baking soda paste mixed with water, let it sit on the stain then rub and wash. Another great idea my Grandmother used wasa mixure of a small amount of lemon juice & water...she soaked the stain area in it for a while then rubbed, washed and rinsed well. It always worked.
Lipstick stains....Sponge the area with a cloth moistened with denatured alcohol. Then massage a little undiluted dish washing liquid into the stain...wash the stain and rinse well.
Felt tip marker stains on hands...Wipe off with a cloth with rubbing alcohol or Avon's Skin So Soft bath oil.
Heel marks on vinyl floors...rub off with a typewriter eraser or wipe off with Avon's Skin so soft bath oil.
Grease on upholstered furniture...Sprinkle talcum powder over the greased mark. Let it sit on the stain for a while until the grease is absorbed well. After 15 minutes, brush off the talcum powder...repeat if necessary.
Grass stains on clothes...Soak overnight in an enzyme detergent. Launder in hot water and fabric safe bleach.
Crayons on walls... clean the stained wall with a lubricating oil like Avon's Skin So Soft bath oil. Gently wipe with a cloth, blot away any residue, then spray with household cleaner and a clean cloth.
